Adieu Mr. President! We’ll gonna miss you

President Musharraf has resigned! Once again, Pakistani people have proved that how much ungrateful they can be. Catalyzed by biased and sold-out media like Geo and Jang group of newspapers, the mostly uneducated people of Pakistan have forgotten how much Musharraf’s government has done for Pakistan and Pakistani people from 1999 till end of 2006. The year 2007 is an exception as it is considered one of the black years Pakistan has ever seen in the history. Starting with lawyers movement, then Lal Masjid operation followed by incident of 12th May in which dozens of people were publicly butchered in the largest city of Pakistan. Then, a series of suicide attacks started throughout Pakistan. The fateful year of 2007 ended with suicide attack on Benazir Bhutto twice resulting in her death in the second attack on 27th December 2007.

Keeping in view the problems Pakistan faced in 2007, the Musharraf government couldn’t concentrate on development projects but can we forget the period between 1999 and 2006? The IT industry, banking industry, real estate industry, stock exchanges etc, all were booming and going towards prosperity. Even the media was behaving maturely until the lawyers movement started in March 2007 and bribed journalists and even the whole TV channels. If our economy was growing faster than India’s (second fastest in the world) and if it was affected badly in 2007, Musharraf is not to be blamed but the bloodsucking leeches that emerged in 2007 - lawyers on streets and biased media.

When the incapable new government, headed by King of Corruption His Highness Asif Ali Zardari, was unable to control inflation, falling economy and poverty etc, they started accusing Musharraf and threatening to impeach him. Let’s not forget that during the last government, 1 US dollar was equal to approximately Rs. 60 for 3-4 years steadily. Since Zardari government is here, value of Rupee has gone done and as of today, it’s Rs. 75!

So, what’s the future of Pakistan now? When the government is headed by a certified corrupt and shrewd person like Zardari, we can’t expect any good thing from him. The subsidies, that were given by the previous government on fuel and flour prices, are to be abolished completely by the end of this year (as announced by the new government). It won’t mean that the government will stop getting new foreign loans. They will continue but previously they were used for subsidies but now they will be used for new palaces and properties in Dubai/London or for simply investing in Swiss bank accounts by Zardari & Co.

In other words, palaces will be built on graves of poor Pakistani people. They actually deserve it because its they who showed Musharraf door of exit and invited people like Zardari with open arms to come and rule them.

Mushref done nothing for pakistan. He is the person who is responsible for present horrible circumstances in Pakistan. Pakistan is economically drowning. Mushref give us the gifts of suicide bombers, electric crises. Many Pakistan peoples given to America in Mushref Gov and those peoples are still missing as we all know the issue of missing peoples ( Like Poor Dr. Afia) Dictatorship ruined Pakistan our history tell us that all the big losses occur in Army Gov. ( Like1971 war and separation of east Pakistan) Mushref is the murdrer of Lal Musque innocent students. Mushref breaks law, judiciary. There is not even a single thing that Mushref done in favor of Pakistan I don’t now y people like you always keep saying mushref Gov done for Pakistan next time please also explain what Mushref Gov. done for Pakistan.

Yasir, As I mentioned, that was only the year 2007 that caused the downfall and “notoriety” of Musharraf. Before 2007, the same Pakistani people loved him. You said that he has done nothing for Pakistan. I advice you to see some facts at http://millionairebc.com/?q=node/557/. Our problem is that we have a short memory. We can’t even recall something that happened more than a year back. All the “black deeds” that we count of Musharraf are of the year 2007 only.
