IPFC Crisis Memoirs - Part-4
Smitha left the IPFC after expressing her thoughts in the following words, and that was her last post in IPFC - forever:
“The P E A C E that you speak of, is nothing but a temporary sedation, not the cure. This has happened before and it will happen again. It would not in anyway affect the expanse, but with each protests like these, there would be a decline in quality.
The protests, that were made to look like “ego clashes” were far from it. It was a protest not for power, not for solving personal grievances but for a basic fundamental right. To be treated fairly and respectfully. Something as fundamental as that, which is a given, had to be fought.
For all those IPFCians, who called us a gang of egoists, power hungry opportunists, all those who blamed us for upsetting the status quo, for spoiling your fun, it was for YOU, we fought, while you blissfully played games and chatted. It was for YOU, we swallowed our self-pride and returned to IPFC. It was for YOU, we took all the accusations lying down. It was for YOU, to save YOUR self-respect, we sacrificed our own.
Now it’s for you to uphold, we’ve done our part!
You can meekly surrender or stand up against it.
The choice, is YOURS!”
